"Men give me credit for some genius. All the genius I have lies in this; when I have a subject in hand, I study it profoundly. Day and night it is before me. My mind becomes pervaded with it. Then the effort that I have made is what people are pleased to call the fruit of genius. It is the fruit of labor and thought."

What "the fog of war" means is: war is so complex it's beyond the ability of the human mind to comprehend all the variables. Our judgment, our understanding, are not adequate. And we kill people unnecessarily."

"Never forget that life can only be nobly inspired and rightly lived if you take it bravely and gallantly, as a splendid adventure in which you are setting out into an unknown country, to face many a danger, to meet many a joy, to find many a comrade, to win and lose many a battle."
~Annie Besant

My parents move back today to New Orleans and I am going to give them most of my furniture. I have not been feeling well as late and been drained, but is that anything new? The difference is I am transforming myself and it is a learning experience. It feels wonderful to be true.

On another subject I jst finally will spill my beans and say that it is surprising how often I am treated like someone who does not matter or exist by others. This applies to people I know online and offline. I feel like an invisible man sometimes in this ignorant world. That despite my intensity, passion and relentless focus, which baffles me how so many people could act in such a tactless, callus manner, and I guess that I just don't know... Well that is my observation because you know it's judgment that defeats us.
