"Men give me credit for some genius. All the genius I have lies in this; when I have a subject in hand, I study it profoundly. Day and night it is before me. My mind becomes pervaded with it. Then the effort that I have made is what people are pleased to call the fruit of genius. It is the fruit of labor and thought."

What "the fog of war" means is: war is so complex it's beyond the ability of the human mind to comprehend all the variables. Our judgment, our understanding, are not adequate. And we kill people unnecessarily."

The personal life deeply lived always expands into truths beyond itself.
~ Anais Nin

"Human happiness and human satisfaction must ultimately come from within oneself. It is wrong to expect some final satisfaction to come from money or from a computer."
~ His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso, the Dalai Lama

New Orleans is quite a mess and that was before Hurricane Katrina. So was my life in some ways but I have been rather peaceful, despite my continuing troubles. Sometimes I am focused and otherwise I find myself just riding the world winds.

I went down there actually and found my family home destroyed. here I am now in this backward land of Mississippi a state that did not officially outlaw slavery till the 1990s. Thank you so much Thomas Jefferson! Being displaced from the now 'ghost-town' of New Orleans sucks. It is as if I were placed in box and my bank account drained. No job, no dreams to build on, no money, no home, no friends, no family, no one, nothing.. and all I have to look forward to is a corporate job as a corporate waiter in the phony baloney town of Orlando Florida.

The one thing that permeates by being is that I have found no one to even remotely communicate with in a suitable manner to meet any of my needs. Nor have I found the time as well as any place to write email study etc in the aftermath of Katrina. Btw earlier this month I went to a Tennessee Williams event so I will close with a quote from that old bastard, Once you fully apprehend the vacuity of a life without struggle, you are equipped with the basic means of salvation. That is enough for now as I need to go back to my symbolic box and rest..

You can give me this
You can give me that
You can give me this
You can give me that
It's not enough

Money's so green
So casually seen
It don't bother me
It's not enough
It's not enough

Every town I go in
Every street I walk down
I can get anything I want
I just lay my cards down

I can count on diamonds
Rubys as well
Oh big deal baby
I still feel like hell
It's not enough
It's not enough
Oh you can take it

Every town I go in
Every street I walk down
I can get anything I want
I just lay my cards down

I can count on diamonds
Rubys as well
Oh big deal baby
I still feel like hell
It's not enough
It's not enough
It's not enough
