I am all for people believing in socialism actually, just that we have a constitutional republic that protects my property. My property is me! I am cool with socialism and as long as the laws are broken so that this country slides toward that more and more I will oppose it here, and I also believe in responsibilty. Who wants a pacifier anyway?

I don't agree with all of your opinions there - they are very absolute. Yes, Lincoln did break the Constitution. That was his one major flaw. But if he had to, at least he did it for a good cause? He was an excellent speaker, tho. Like Ronald Reagan. Your views are too leftist for me, for the most part. Some of your opinions of the presidents, I agree with. Others, I do not. Ulysses S. Grant was a complete jerk, for one, and couldn't run a country. Just wondering: how do you feel about James K. Polk?

Me a leftist? What for being a total constitutionalist? I guess its easy for you to stereotype me without understanding why I believe certain things. All in all i believe sterotyping is wrong. I don't and never will buy into the left-liberal-conservative/right LIE of doing this, I feel both the Democratic JACKASS party and very un-Republican party (democracy, democracy!) are at complete odds with respect to rights, the American people, and the constitution. I am not a leftist, a liberal, or a conservative, I'm just my own indescribable indefinable unique self. Hopefully that helps, if it doesn't then read on. Overall I am leaning very libertarian, to paint me on the left or right is insulting as it completely disregards my political beliefs which are at odds with those on those sides. I am further confused by that statement as libertarians are widely considered hardcore or true conservatives. Maybe you disagree with and make up your own mind, but you told me before you had no knowledge of what parties other than the Democrats and Republicans represented. Seems hard to make a good judgement call when one doesnt know and wont ask. I consider myself open-minded and if your curious about anything with my philosophy then I will give a cordial respectfull reply via email. So basically thats up to you, though I do thank you for the comment. I just had to comment on it! *smile*

As for James Polk? I am glad you brought him up, so thank you! I like Polk on several grounds, such as his being a one term only President which seems a foreign idea today. Though altogether he was a Jacksonian JACKASS, and I overall dislike Democrats and especially do not like Andrew Jackson. Jackson represented an utter contempt for the law and in my view a TRAITOR to the constitution and the United States of America. Had I been alive in the 1830s I would have done everything I could just short of assasinating him. Polk being a lifetime Jacksonian gives me little reason to favor him. I also don't like the way Polk to the US to war. Polk was far too politically motivated on his decisions as an effective and ethicalpublic servant for any real support from me. He did atleast get a declaration from congress, though it were a cowardly one. That hasnt been done since 1941, another reason something of whats wrong with America (that being it doesnt follow its own laws).
