"Men give me credit for some genius. All the genius I have lies in this; when I have a subject in hand, I study it profoundly. Day and night it is before me. My mind becomes pervaded with it. Then the effort that I have made is what people are pleased to call the fruit of genius. It is the fruit of labor and thought."

"The lights are on but no one is home in New Orleans."
~ NBC News anchor Brian Williams on Monday November 28, 2005

I am ill and may have pnemonia. I have a doctors appointment later this week but my insurance was illegally cancelled by my employer during Katrina who has not responded to my attempts to keep payments up (they just plain cut everyone except management, duh).

That is about it.... except most of the lights are not on and neither is the gas. This city has had its head up its ass throughout its entire existance.
