David Robinson is awesome! I don't even watch basketball that much, but he's one of my favorite players.

David Robinson was decent. A man by the name of Hakeem Olajuwon used to dominate him though. Hakeem was the best center ever I'd say, although I'm biased because I'm a Houstonian. Enough sports and reminiscing for now. Must study. Bye.

Interesting list. I'd agree that Bill and Wilt should be somewhere at the top. However, here would be my list: 1. Hakeem Olajuwon 2. Wilt Chaimberlain (very close second) 3. Bill Russell 4. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 5. Shaquille O'neal I guess my reasoning in not putting David on there is that I felt he was never the best center of his era or even second best, plus it seemed like he was plagued with injuries and it shortened his career, and he was always overshadowed by Hakeem or Shaq or Patrick Ewing, although I'd consider The Admiral to be a good guy from what I knew about his personal life. Olajuwon, I put him up there because he has the all-time shot blocks record, he had phenomenal numbers in the playoffs, and he is consistently near the top in almost all statistics in comparison to the other centers, and he's the only center of the group to have won a championship without another hall of famer on his team. Russell wasn't 1 because he did not score as many points per game, plus back then they didn't record blocks or steals so it's hard to say if he would've maintained the record. Also I didn't factor in the number of championships he had, I felt Olajuwon could have won the same number (or more) of championships with the same supporting cast that Bill (or even Kareem) had. O'neal could easily have been number 2 or 3 but his failure to hit free throws is what knocked him down so far. Same thing with Wilt and Bill. Also, I felt Bill and Wilt get a bit too much credit sometimes because they played in an era where they were often taller than everyone else by a considerable amount. Hakeem and Shaq played in an era where 7 foot centers are the standard. Now the smartest center ever: that'd have to be Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. I remember one time he set the record for most money earned on Celebrity Jeapordy. Best basketball player ever would be Michael Jordan, hands down, and it's doubtful (to me) that anyone will ever be close to what he was. Anyway, it was fun talking basketball with you. Bye.
